John Bunting

John Bunting is the principal owner of Precorp, Inc. A founder of US Synthetic, a successful diamond synthesis company acquired by Dover Corporation in August of 2004, John has been involved with Ultra Higher Pressure Synthesis for over 26 years. As the inventor of the polycrystalline (PCD) vein process, John has since 1986 nurtured the growth of Precorp, Inc. He first led Precorp, Inc as the acting President and then acquired the company from Precision Carbide Tool in 1992. John’s employment experience prior to Precorp, Inc and US Synthetic, includes working as a Nuclear Engineer for the U.S. Navy, an Assistant Plant Manager of Pfizer, and as a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. John received his MBA degree from Southern Illinois University and his BES degree in Chemical Engineering from Brigham Young University.

Rich has been essential to the growth and development of Precorp, taking operational control of the company in 1996. He developed a line of pressure coolant PCD reamers that has allowed the company to add several millions in new automotive sales and has continuously added new products to meet customer requirements for custom PCD tools. Rich recently developed the 40DH and PHT carbide drills and Series 85 and 86 PCD drills for aircraft applications which have been selected for use in the 787 program. Rich has his BES degree in Chemical Engineering from Brigham Young University.

Don Sanner

Don joined Precorp in January, 2005 after a distinguished twelve year career at Continental Teves as Manufacturing Engineer and a short time as a Controls Engineer for Pulte Home Sciences. Don brings to Precorp an extensive knowledge of the application of custom PCD and carbide tooling in aluminum machining and years of hands on production experience in producing close tolerance aluminum parts. This first hand experience allows him to interface with our customer base to bring solutions to their aluminum machining applications. Additionally, Don’s extensive experience in managing people and technological processes is ideally suited for overseeing our operation in Michigan. Don has an Associates degree in Applied Science in Electronic Engineering Technology from Germanna Commuity College as well as extensive training in programming and operating Siemens CNC controls.
