Combination drill countersink tools are effectively applied in drilling all air frame materials including aluminum, CFRP, titanium and stainless steel as well as any combination of those materials. The combination drill countersink tool provides the highest possible quality. With high accuracy and proprietary coolant delivery, this family of tools offers the best option for ‘one shot’ drilling in air frame material.
The combination drill countersink simplifies the tool management process by eliminating modular tool systems and always insures tool accuracy by eliminating variances introduced by the modular systems. In addition, PCD tools and Solid Carbide tools are easily reground multiple times to allow for the lowest possible cost per hole.

THE POLYCRYSTALLINE DIAMOND (PCD) PROCESSPRECORP’s PCD process is the method for making unique shaped diamond edges which enables the creation of innovative diamond tooling solutions for common and special problems.
The carbide blank is inserted into one of Precorp’s high pressure, high temperature presses and subjected to 2,700º F and 876,000 psi. In this process the diamond powder is compressed and the diamond crystals are bonded to each other and to the carbide blank.
The PCD nib is then brazed to a solid carbide shank. The braze is located sufficiently away from the tip of the tool to avoid any potential thermal damage. This allows the use of a high temperature high strength braze joint between the nib and the carbide shank.
